Meet the Auckland Orthodontics team
We’re really looking forward to meeting you. Transforming smiles is our passion and nothing is better than seeing the confidence boost a beautiful smile gives our happy patients. Auckland Orthodontics prides itself on providing warm and professional services to adults, teenagers and children, often serving entire families in West Auckland.
Our Specialist Orthodontist, Dr Raniga
Auckland Orthodontics is led by our specialist orthodontist, Dr Nitin Raniga. Dr Raniga moved to Auckland in 1994 from Fiji to pursue his education. As a full member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists (NZAO), Dr Raniga loves “changing people’s lives by boosting their confidence and self-esteem”.
Dr Raniga’s education and professional history timeline:
- Graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago
- General dentist from 2001-2006, fostering an interest in orthodontics
- Began the University of Otago specialist doctorate programme in orthodontics in 2007
- Completed Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons examinations
- Respected member of New Zealand Dental Association and Auckland Dental Association
“A great smile is one of the first things people notice, and when we see patients who can’t stop smiling, it lets us know we’ve accomplished our goal.” - Dr Raniga
Debbie McVey
Treatment Coordinator
Debbie is deeply proud to have been with Auckland Orthodontics since we opened in 2013. Her professional, can-do attitude means Debbie is highly valued by patients wanting to get the best from Invisalign®.
“I have the satisfaction of seeing people’s lives change, one smile at a time. I love being able to show our patients how Invisalign® works and how easy it is to wear”.
When she’s not working with patients, Debbie is a keen baker who also loves reading, power walking and spending time with her two beautiful daughters.
Pam Kordina
Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist
Pam joined Auckland Orthodontics in 2020. She has worked in the dentistry field for 12 years - prior to this she was involved in the travel and law industries.
Pam absolutely loves her job - she has always believed smiling is the easiest and nicest way of communicating, so naturally orthodontics was a great fit!
When she's not at work, Pam enjoys baking, walking, gardening, socialising, dancing - and red wine! Her family and friends are also important to her, and has two daughters and a grandson.
Grace Hinton
Registered Orthodontic Auxiliary
Grace says “it’s a real privilege to be part of the Auckland Orthodontics team that helps patients grow in confidence, through achieving a beautiful smile they can love for a lifetime!”
Grace is dedicated to bringing out the smiles in everyone she meets. Patients always notice the fun and relaxing environment she creates, using her naturally cheerful and friendly personality.
When she’s not spending time with our patients, car-mad Grace also swims, enjoys good food and spends time with her loved ones.
Mariah Campbell
Orthodontic Assistant
Mariah has previously worked in the Dental Industry and has already proved to have an amazing, friendly personality that we and our patients love to see.
Being new to the orthodontic industry, Mariah is very excited for this new challenge and is passionate about assisting with patients orthodontic treatment and being involved in creating happy smiles.
When she's not working, you'll find her in the gym or enjoying time with her friends and family at the beach.
